Chalcedony takes its name from Chalcedon, the ancient port facing Byzantium, prized by Roman carvers for cameos. Aqua chalcedony is a milky aqua blue, translucent, and gold brings out its teal undertone. Here a faceted round and a faceted teardrop, both bezel-set in gold, join as one drop, the round fixed near the lobe and the teardrop swinging free below it, on a push-back post.
