Seed Pearl Drop Station Necklace · Silver

Seed pearls are the smallest pearls of all, once strung on horsehair by the hundred for Georgian and Victorian jewellery. The pearl is a creamy white with a soft lustre, cooler beside silver. Here thirteen seed pearls hang from a fine cable chain, each on its own ball-tip wire, spaced unevenly so the line never reads as a repeat.

Reach for it when you want pearls without a strand. The droplets move independently along the chain and take the light one at a time. Scattered, fine, easy to layer.

• Pearls that hang off the chain, not on it
• Reads as light rather than as jewellery
• Three fixed rings, three lengths, no loose chain

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

A white pearl works on every skin tone, eye colour and hair colour, because it adds light rather than colour, and the metal around it sets the temperature. It is the piece to reach for when the outfit already has its colour.

If you want colour, the same design comes in every coloured stone in the collection. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
