Moonstone was worn in Rome as a stone believed to hold moonlight. Rainbow moonstone is milky white with a blue and violet sheen that shifts with the angle, translucent. Here a round rose-cut moonstone sits in a formed gold collet, its faceted dome rising above the rim, and the shallow facets scatter the sheen across the whole face.
Reach for it when you want light without colour. Face on it is a white disc with a blue glow inside it, and the gold rim gives the pale stone an edge. Pale, until the light finds it.
