Blue Chalcedony Hammered Teardrop Statement Earrings · Gold

Blue chalcedony gets its milky colour from fine quartz fibres that scatter light. It is a pale powder blue, milky and translucent, warmed a shade by gold. Here a smooth blue chalcedony bead hangs inside a hand-hammered open teardrop frame in gold on a push-back post, so the frame catches light around the stone.

Reach for it when you want a statement that is still quiet. The beaten frame does the shining, and inside it the powder blue reads pale and calm. Powder blue inside a beaten frame.

• Powder blue that calms a busy outfit
• Beaten frame that does the shining
• Push-back post, lighter than it looks

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Blue chalcedony is a cool, pale blue that sits best on cool or fair skin and picks up blue, grey and green eyes, where it reads as a softer echo of the iris. Blonde, silver and ash brown hair keep it crisp.

For warm or olive tones, carnelian or citrine in the same hammered teardrop statement earring brings the warmth the blue lacks. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
