Pink Chalcedony Hexagon Drop Statement Earrings · Gold

Pink chalcedony takes its blush from traces of manganese, the rarest colour in the chalcedony family. It is a pale blush pink, translucent and milky, given a faint warmth by gold. Here a hexagon-cut pink chalcedony sits in an open-backed gold collet, with a large open hexagon below, its flat band hand-brushed to a soft satin.

Reach for it when the outfit is plain and the earrings are the whole story. The frame is open, so the size costs you nothing in weight. Big shape, light on the ear.

• Pale blush pink that never reads sweet
• Big open frame that weighs almost nothing
• Smooth push-back post, steady all evening

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Pink chalcedony is a cool, pale pink that sits best on cool or fair skin and picks up blue, grey and green eyes, where it reads as a soft warmth beside them. Blonde, ash brown and silver hair keep it crisp.

For warm or olive tones, carnelian or citrine in the same hexagon drop statement brings the warmth the blush lacks. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
