Moonstone was worn in Rome as a stone believed to hold moonlight. Rainbow moonstone is milky white with a blue and violet sheen that shifts with the angle, translucent. Here a cushion-cut rainbow moonstone hangs corner down from a hand-brushed gold collet, open at the back so daylight travels right through the stone.

Reach for it when you want one stone doing all the talking. Hung from the corner it reads as a kite rather than a square, and it swings as you move without a sound.

Rainbow moonstone is a cool, pale stone that sits best on cool or fair skin and picks up blue, grey and green eyes, where the flash reads as a lighter note of the iris. Blonde, silver and ash brown hair keep the pairing soft.
