Garnet takes its name from the Latin for pomegranate seed, and it has been worn since the Bronze Age. Deep bordeaux, a wine red, with facets readable close up. Garnet is a warm red that sits closest to warm or olive skin and picks up brown, hazel and dark eyes, where it reads as a deeper note of the same warmth. Dark brown, auburn and black hair hold the colour best.
