Mixed-stone chains go back to Georgian acrostic jewellery, where the stones were chosen to spell a word. The stones run from red and pink through green to blue and violet, one colour per station. Here thirteen small faceted rounds, no two the same stone, sit in gold bezels along a fine cable chain, a line of coloured dots.
