Carnelian Bead Hammered Disc Dangle Earrings · Gold

Carnelian was the signet stone of Rome because hot wax does not stick to it. It is a warm burnt orange, amber-toned, translucent, with light in it. Here a smooth round carnelian bead hangs from a hand-hammered gold disc on a push-back post, so the disc catches the light while the bead swings below it.

Reach for it when you want warmth in a small, solid form. The hammered disc catches light above while the bead hangs quiet below, and the orange runs warm with the gold. Burnt orange under a beaten sun.

• Burnt orange that lifts navy and denim
• Hammered disc, no two exactly alike
• Push-back post, sits close and stays put

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Carnelian is a warm orange that sits closest to warm or olive skin and picks up brown and hazel eyes, where it reads as a brighter note of the same warmth. Dark and auburn hair hold the colour best.

For cool or fair tones, iolite or amazonite in the same design gives the same presence in a cooler key. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
