Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, where Moravian missionaries recorded it in 1770, and chalcedony takes its name from Chalcedon, the ancient port facing Byzantium, prized by Roman carvers for cameos. Here a faceted labradorite oval sits prong-set near the lobe, and a faceted aqua chalcedony round hangs bezel-set below it on a plain wire hook, two blues moving as one.

Labradorite and aqua chalcedony together suit most skin tones and pick up hazel, grey and blue eyes, where the flash and the milky blue read as two notes of the same cool colour. Dark brown and cool brunette hair frame the pairing best.
