Jade has been carved in China for five thousand years, and nephrite was the stone of the imperial workshops. It is a pale apple green, mottled with lighter cloudy patches, with a waxy lustre. Here a run of small faceted nephrite jade stones, each in its own gold collet, follows the curve of an open hoop on a push-back post, colour all the way round.

Reach for it when you want colour that follows the curve of the ear. Small stones run the length of the hoop, and from any angle the clouded green stays calm, never bright. Soft green all the way round.

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Nephrite jade is a warm, soft green that sits closest to warm or neutral skin and picks up brown, hazel and green eyes, where it reads as a quieter note of the iris. Dark brown, auburn and black hair give it contrast.
