Chalcedony takes its name from Chalcedon, the ancient port facing Byzantium, prized by Roman carvers for cameos. Aqua chalcedony is a milky aqua blue, translucent, and gold brings out its teal undertone. Here a faceted aqua chalcedony oval sits in a brushed gold collet on a hammered open band, one texture from collet to band, with ball tips that slide to fit.
