Labradorite Hexagon Drop Statement Earrings · Gold

Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, where Moravian missionaries recorded it in 1770. It reads grey-blue, with a teal and bronze flash that moves with the angle. Here a hexagon-cut labradorite sits in an open-backed gold collet, with a large open hexagon below, its flat band hand-brushed to a soft satin.

Reach for it when the outfit is plain and the earrings are the whole story. The frame is open, so the size costs you nothing in weight. Big shape, light on the ear.

• Blue flash that switches on as it moves
• Big open frame that weighs almost nothing
• Smooth push-back post, steady all evening

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Labradorite is a neutral stone, so it sits well on most skin tones and picks up hazel, grey and green eyes, where the blue flash reads as an echo of the iris. Dark brown and cool brunette hair frame the grey base best.

For warm tones that want more colour, rose quartz in the same hexagon drop statement gives a softer, pinker register. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
