Keshi pearls grow without a nucleus, so they are nacre the whole way through, a by-product of cultivation nobody can plan. The pearl is a creamy white with a soft lustre. Here a large flat keshi pearl hangs from a fine gold wire hook, drilled at the top so it turns freely and shows both of its faces.

Reach for it when you want a pearl with some size to it. Flat rather than round, it sits close to the neck and swings with you. Big pearl, no weight.
