Baroque takes its name from barroco, the Portuguese word for an irregular pearl, long before it named an era in art. The pearl is a creamy white with a soft lustre, cooler beside silver. Here three baroque pearls hang from a paperclip chain, a larger flat pearl at the centre with a smaller oval either side, each on its own ball-tip wire.

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.
