Labradorite Crown Stud Earrings · Silver

Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, where Moravian missionaries recorded it in 1770. Its flash of blue and gold comes from light bending between thin layers inside the crystal. Here the round faceted labradorite sits in a multi-prong silver crown, pierced into small arches under a beaded rim, and in silver the stone runs darker, the flash sitting deep inside.

Reach for it when you want a grey that changes through the day. In silver it reads closer to slate, and the blue flash comes and goes as you move. Slate, until the light moves.

Labradorite is a neutral stone, so it sits well on most skin tones and picks up hazel, grey and green eyes, where the blue flash reads as an echo of the iris. In silver the whole pairing runs cool, which suits ash blonde, silver and cool brunette hair best.
