SALONIE Shrestha
I spent years making myself smaller. In Zürich's banking world, you dress to blend in, to not distract, to not take up too much space. I told myself that was professional. That was safe.
Then I became a mother. I looked at my daughter and thought: I don't want her to learn this from me.

The gap
Why jewelry?
I couldn't find what I was looking for. Everywhere I looked, jewelry was either fast fashion — cheap, forgettable, disposable — or haute joaillerie, designed for someone else's life. Nothing existed for a woman like me: someone who cares what she wears, needs it to hold up through a full day, and wants to feel something when she puts it on.
So I made it. First for myself. Then for every woman who recognised that feeling.

Made slowly, on purpose.
How it's made
PROTSAAH works with skilled artisan communities — makers whose craft spans generations, whose hands know what machines don't. We design in Zürich. We source with care. Nothing about PROTSAAH is accidental.

The name
Protsaah means encouragement.
In Sanskrit, protsaah (प्रोत्साह) means to uplift, to encourage. Not to decorate. Not to perform. To remind you, every morning, that you are worth being seen.
This jewelry is for women who are done making themselves small.
