Chalcedony takes its name from Chalcedon, the ancient port facing Byzantium, prized by Roman carvers for cameos. Aqua chalcedony is a milky aqua blue, translucent, and gold brings out its teal undertone. Here a faceted aqua chalcedony heart sits flush in a brushed gold bezel, its pointed base giving the drop its movement on a plain wire hook.
