Labradorite Teardrop Stud Drop Earrings · Gold

Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, where Moravian missionaries recorded it in 1770. It reads grey-blue, with a teal and bronze flash that moves with the angle. Here a faceted round and a faceted teardrop, both bezel-set in gold, join as one drop, the round fixed near the lobe and the teardrop swinging free below it, on a push-back post.

Reach for it when you want more than a single stone without a second earring to manage. The round sits still, the teardrop moves, and the flash comes and goes as it moves. Grey-blue in two parts, one earring.

• Blue flash that switches on as it moves
• Round stays still, teardrop swings free below it
• Push-back post, sits close to the lobe

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Labradorite is a neutral stone, so it sits well on most skin tones and picks up hazel, grey and green eyes, where the blue flash reads as an echo of the iris. Dark brown and cool brunette hair frame the grey base best.

For warm tones that want more colour, rose quartz in the same teardrop stud drop gives a softer, pinker register. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
