Moonstone was worn in Rome as a stone believed to hold moonlight. Rainbow moonstone is milky white with a blue and violet sheen that shifts with the angle, translucent. Here a faceted rainbow moonstone oval sits in a brushed gold collet on a hammered open band, one texture from collet to band, with ball tips that slide to fit.
