Keshi pearls grow without a nucleus, so they are nacre the whole way through, a by-product of cultivation nobody can plan. The pearl is a creamy white with a soft lustre. Here a large keshi pearl hangs free inside an asymmetric open frame that runs to a point below it, so the pearl turns within the metal outline.
