Labradorite Long Teardrop Drop Earrings · Silver

Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, where Moravian missionaries recorded it in 1770. In silver it reads closer to slate, the blue flash sitting deep inside. Here a labradorite pear briolette, faceted all round, hangs from a wire-wrapped cap at the tip of a long open silver arc hook, and turns as you move.

Reach for it when you want one long grey line for everything. The briolette turns on the hook, and the blue flash comes and goes as it swings, cool against the silver. Slate, turning.

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Labradorite is a neutral stone, so it sits well on most skin tones and picks up hazel, grey and green eyes, where the blue flash reads as an echo of the iris. Dark brown and cool brunette hair frame the grey base best.
