Moonstone was worn in Rome as a stone believed to hold moonlight. Rainbow moonstone is milky white with a blue and violet sheen that shifts with the angle, translucent. Here a rainbow moonstone pear briolette, faceted all round, hangs from a wire-wrapped cap at the tip of a long open gold arc hook, and turns as you move.

Reach for it when you want light without colour. The sheen moves with every turn of the briolette, blue one moment and pale the next, at the end of a fine gold arc. Pale, until it turns.

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Rainbow moonstone is a cool, pale stone that sits best on cool or fair skin and picks up blue, grey and green eyes, where the flash reads as a lighter note of the iris. Blonde, silver and ash brown hair keep the pairing soft.
