Labradorite Cushion-Cut Drop Earrings · Gold

Labradorite takes its name from Labrador, where Moravian missionaries recorded it in 1770. It reads grey-blue, with a teal and bronze flash that moves with the angle. Here a brushed gold square holds the lobe and a large cushion-cut labradorite hangs below on a jump ring, faceted on both faces.

Reach for it when you want a stone big enough to see from across the table. It hangs clear of the jaw and swings as you move. Grey-blue, squared and generous.

• Blue flash that switches on as it moves
• Large stone that reads across a room
• Smooth push-back post, no clasp to fiddle with

Handcrafted by master silversmiths in Protsaah's own workshop in Jaipur, where every maker is paid 30 to 40% above the local market rate.

Labradorite is a neutral stone, so it sits well on most skin tones and picks up hazel, grey and green eyes, where the blue flash reads as an echo of the iris. Dark brown and cool brunette hair frame the grey base best.

For warm tones that want more colour, rose quartz in the same cushion-cut drop gives a softer, pinker register. Not sure? Write to us at hello@protsaah.com and Salonie will recommend your stone personally.
